Functional Summary

Reporting to the Flagship Foreman, the labourer is expected to work in the elements assisting in a variety of different tasks around the yard.

Key Responsibilities include

Safety

· Attends safety meetings if scheduled. Independently follows up on safety meeting notes signing that they have read and understand what was discussed

· Steel toe boots and a high visibility vest are required at all times

o Safety glasses required when outside

· Follows all Salish Soils policies and procedures

Labourer

· Sort through mixed C&D loads sorting the waste into different commodities

· Work with the loader operator to remove waste C&D to the appropriate location when sorted

· Operate the bagging machine to bag compost/soil/mulch as required

· Assist with composting operations

· General yard cleanup

· Other duties as assigned
